EnGenius 802.11b/g high power up to 28dBm AP/WDS/Repeater in "smoke detector" form
This Business class MESH series product is equipped with Atheros AR2316 chipset (supports Super G-mode) offering up to 28dBm. It offers indoor wireless high power and high gain but in a small form factor: it looks like a white smoke detector with several functions!
The MP36 delevers high power up to 28dBm and with the integrated 5dBi (diversity) antennas EIRP is alsmost up to 2000mW. It offers antenna diversity support.
Functions: AP/ WDS/ Repeater. The M36 is powered by 802.3af and it comes with wall- and ceiling mount and when blinking LEDs bring confusion there is LED on/off control option.
In comparison with the eap-3660 this unit has more memory on board. The M36 (and M2000 in outdoor housing) is the first Wireless Access Point/Universal Repeater/WDS device that supports MESH ánd is prepared for so called NMS support. The firmware is expected as a free(!) upgrade in Q3/2010.
Use it as AP/ WDS/ Repeater with multi SSID and it operates seamlesly in the 2,4 GHz spectrum supporting 802.11b/g standard with SNMP and bandwidth
management.
Last but not least: safety. The M36 uses WEP data encryption, support for WPA/WPA2/AES, Mac address filter and user isolation function for protection on your private network between client users.
